Introducing the all new Gateway-R stock turbofold kit by Cicio Performance

As I’m sure many of you know, we here at Cicio are no strangers to optimizing the stock GT-R manifold. We started producing stock turbo fold kits a little over 7 years ago with our Pro series. Those morphed into the Elite line which owned the top spots in their class for years standing. From there we pushed further into the Prime line. These turbos took a turn for the better when we had our proprietary manifolds cast to create our current Xenith turbo line of full kits vs stock manifolds.

That however left a hole in our line of turbo systems for the GT-R between our Gateway turbo (1000hp capable) and our Xenith turbo system which is 1300+hp capable. Out of that necessity the Gateway-R was born.

The Gateway-R turbo, as I alluded to, utilizes the factory turbo fold which we machine to accept a larger, higher flowing turbine wheel. This is supported by a full billet Xona Rotor CHRA that if nothing else is simply a work of art. It is, however, more than that in the fact that it is the most reliable bearing cartridge we have found over the years. The cherry gets added to the kit with a fully molded 90 degree outlet specifically cast for the GT-R configuration. That means no welding or warping to the compressor cover and a perfectly smooth transition from the 55mm billet compressor wheel to the compressor outlet.

To add the sprinkles to the cherry we top the kit off with a full stainless hard line kit for both water and oil to the bearing cartridge as well as included inlets. These lines make a huge difference in install and longevity of the turbos, deleting any possibility of line routing by a shop causing problems.

While many might not care about these details, we feel they are the things that set us apart when we design a turbo kit to perform amongst the best in the world. These kits are rated at 1100-1200hp with an easily achievable 8 second quarter mile with the right conditions and tire. The spool of this kit is exceptional given our learned tricks to the AR housing of the factory turbo fold. The other thing that is surprisingly pleasant is boost control. Lots of people struggle with boost creep and or a lack of accurate control from the internal wastegates when putting larger turbines in the factory manifold. Through our years of experience we have tried all the tricks to help this and I’m proud to say have combined several of them to create the ability for exceptional control.
