With my GTR now 10 years old, I'm sure my speakers are well aged and a replacement would be a welcome upgrade.
Looking for something easy to accomplish in my garage with minimal splicing/mods. I'm also willing to upgrade/replace the amps in the process.
A shop in England sells a kit with Hertz speakers and Amp upgrade. Anyone have experience with this kit.
Looking for something that won't break the bank either.

my driver side door speaker (tweeter?) is intermittent... cheapest/easiest route is probably replace with OEM but i figure if i'm in there replacing then might as well put in something better.

You can replace all the speakers, remove the rear subs and put in a pair of full range 6 (or 8” I don’t recall) and swap for an 8/10 channel amp and drive a JL 10 or 12” sub in the trunk with their super thin sub which hits as hard as a box 5x the size and you’ll still have plenty of room for three VP cans and extras.
Can share Hair Nation with passerbys
I went with Polk audio separates and wasn’t bad at all price wise.

Thanks for the recommendation. I know the possibilities are almost endless. I already have a single 12" JL in the trunk being run by it's own Amp. Next step is speakers and amps up front.
