It was only 1000 bucks. The Roadster guys plopped down $50k for the regular and $250k for the founders edition and were told that was going to be out this year. The sucks.

I ordered one - too good to be true with a full warranty. Saw the widebody Nürburgring car and thought it looked great.

Girls stopped home from college and told me about it and said why not. Then we get the confirm and it’s a darn hedge hog lmao.

We have/had four as family pets and we all couldn’t stop laughing.

I was on the fence about this one. The one I want is the plaid plus but it won't be available until mid 2022. However, in the meantime I put a deposit down my 22 M5CS only allocation my local dealer got so will be the only one in the state just the way i like it. However, I don't foresee many plaids in my state due to the price tag. I'll see how it performs and etc as I may get the model x plaid instead.

Available in 2021 for $140k ($148k with FSD)

- 0-60mph under 2 seconds
- 1/4 mile under 9 seconds
- 200mph top speed
- Lapped Leguna Seca in 1:30.3 (they think they can get down to 1:27 before it's released)
- 1100-1200hp
- Over 520 miles range

From a luxury sedan.....Bananas

Just imagine what the Roadster will do with the Cold Gas Thrusters equipped.

If u want the 520 range your going to have to wait until mid 2022 for the plaid plus.

Numbers for model S plaid were released.

1/4 in 9.23 @152mph

This is for the regular Model S Plaid, the Plaid+ version will probably dip into the 8's. And i expect the Roadster will be 8.99-8.50 for the regular version and 7.99-7.80 for the ones equipped with cold gas thrusters.

So the new Plaid is out and only $129,900.  I guess they are not going to make the 512 mile version at this time.  But it's still a pretty impressive car.

Previous GT-R owner just decided to lurk around figured I'd say for a daily the Plaid is truly next level stupid.  Sure the big turbo guys (1,000WHP+) can dispatch one but for stock and on street rubber it's literally insane.  Dirty car at the moment thank you rainy season but I can't recommend it enough for daily usage!

Love it man. What color interior ?

Is that steering wheel annoying for cruising ? People I’ve seen driving seem fidgety and constantly over correcting?

If you drive like me at 9 & 3 on the wheel it's fine.  You gangsta drive at 12 you'll have issues.  I have no problems with it.  Going from the yolk to a traditional circular wheel the circular wheels feel narrow.  It's a much wider wheel on the Plaid.  I went with the dark interior because baby.  I don't trust a kiddo with a light colored interior.  Don't mind the dirt on the floor drove in lots of rain before I took the photo.

This sedan from Tesla is the current record holder…can the roadster break into 6’s? I say probably not but I can see a 7:10-7:20 lap time.

Hard to tell if it’s going to be substantially lighter. Majority of the weight is in the propulsion package.

At this price point, it’s hard to even justify something else as a daily.

Will be a total mind melt to see the model X even come close to this time.
