Replaced the 570 with something safe and time tested. Car is tangibly quicker. Tons more mechanical grip. Way better fit and finish. All around I’d say the best car I’ve owned.

The car feels as fast as my modded NISMO, bone stock.

Damn nice. I’ve been looking at these for awhile. Just always end of buying something else lol.

Are those stock rims ? Insane if they are.

What year is this ? I know Cicio has Cobb tunes for these that will wake it right up (not that it really needs any waking up though).

Edit : If your tall, you’ll notice more head room with a helmet as well.

Those rings are a factory option from Exclusive. Porsche bought a 9M diameter carbon weaving machine to make these wheels for the Turbo S Exclusive Series. Now they made them an option on the last run of 991.2 Turbo Ss. They’re bomb. And I can feel a difference in the rotating resistance and the way they absorb bumps. There’s a cool YouTube video Porsche releases about them.

The car is a 2019. It’s so fast stock I’m not going to mess with it. I’m blending 2-4 gallons of 100 octane per tank now just to make sure I can beat the shit out of it without it pulling timing on 91 (not that it did, but just want to be at “max”).

Two of my track buddies have bought 2019 Turbo S's this year, and they just love them. One said launch mode was insane. I drove one of them on track a month ago and it is very, very easy to go fast in it. As it was not my car, I kind of took it easy into corners and under braking. But with the CCM brakes and stock pads, deceleration was impressive to say the least. But I did give it full throttle out of the corners and that was very satisfying. No carbon wheels though. Man those look nice. On the same day on track I tried my wife's 2019 718 Cayman with everything stock, and that has to be one of the most nicely balanced cars I have ever driven on track. It just lacks the power of the Turbo S of course, but still a very nice ride, as it just flows from corner to corner. I can see why Randy Pobst gave it second overall in the Best Handling Car shootout for Motor Trend mag one year. Porsche engineers certainly know what they are doing.

Very fast, reliable and can take a beating for many miles. Nice choice.

Did the 570 give you any issues during ownership? My friend’s neighbor has had nothing but electrical issues with his 720s and he told him it’s somewhat common.

The turbo s is going to kill cba gtr on the launch really bad. Aftermarket software make it competitive but still cant beat a stock turbo s launch on similar tires.

Only a 2012/2013 on good fuel would have a chance - well stock anyways.

That is correct. 991.2 Turbo is measurably quicker than 991.1. And for the first time, the Turbo S actually gets slightly larger turbos the Turbo model on the 991.2 gen.

My Turbo S is tangibly faster than my NISMO was MODIFIED before my new turbos. Stock for stock Turbo S would walk NISMO.

The GTR needs perfect conditions to put down a sub 11 second 1/4 mile. The Porsche will do it under almost any circumstance.

I’m saying this impartially, as a “GTR guy”.

Your new TurboS , the MSRP is now north of 220,000.00 with those CCR rims and brakes...

The 2020 Nismo strangely enough has a similar MSRP ????????? I wonder which car most of us might get ????

Great choice of color .....

My Turbo S MSRP was especially high, not the norm. Being how closely matched the cars are, and how much carbon the NISMO has, it really does justify the MSRP in my mind. If you want an equivalent Turbo with that much carbon and special aero, you need to get a Exclusive Edition which is North of $300K.

Now as far as which one is the obvious choice, that’s hard for me to say. The Turbo S is the car I’d rather drive every day, by a large margin, but when it comes time for me to imagine I’m Michael Schumacher, it’s the NISMO I love, and most of all trust.
