Another ELITE Prime build in the books! These things never fail to impress me when I final drive them before delivery.
This car was sent to us by an awesome customer from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for an ELITE Build. It started off as your pretty standard stock ECU, 6 injector, stock crank build and then quickly progressed as he realized the potential of the car if he upgraded the supporting mods around it. We have a good mix of 1/4 mile guys who race every weekend and full street cars that very, very rarely see a track. This gentleman is more towards the latter. He wanted a super fast street car that was … and I quote “faster than mine and my friend’s motorcycles” LOL… I assured him that would not be a problem.
As the build progressed we added things like our TSM Race 3.8 with billet crank, our wet sump oiling system that changes the dynamic of the oil consistency being fed to the bearings, 12 injector with a Boost Logic manifold, and Motec ECU. He also decided to go with a set of AMS carbon brakes, Shep Stage 4 transmission, and some TE37s just to round off the look.
This thing drives like a dream. I have driven about every setup possible and it’s just hard to beat this on the street. Of course a stroker with say a Pro1700 kit will be faster… so it’s all about your goals. Some of the big full turbo kits now days are doing amazing things and when it comes to all out power we certainly can’t keep up with them with our stock manifold technology. However there isn’t much left to be desired when you roll into the throttle on an ELITE Prime setup; the power is simply just INSTANT and never stops pulling. IF your goal is a 1400hp street car that will run bottom 3s 60-130, 200mph in the half with ease and 8s full weight … all in a car you can take your wife/girlfriend/mistress/all three (if you roll like that) to dinner in comfort. The Prime is simply impossible to beat.
