Hey not fair .... I only bought long blocks from a single supplier !!!!

Absolutely zero question on where issue came from on my end ..... zero, zip, zilch.

Peter good luck !!!

Lol we will see when TSM reports. I'm not siding with anyone, just genuinely curious.

We found the reason for the low oil pressure at idle. I have a sandbox in the engine. My old mechanic is a moron. Before painting the engine lids, they were sandblasted. As you can see in the attached pictures of the oil pump, the engine lids have not been cleaned.

The coater owes you a new block. Major oversight.

Seems like it’s the long block assembler’s oversight, not the coater.

Sorry to hear Peter and aside from the cash, a waste of an entire season. Hope you stick with it. Car should be epic.

Personally I would just have a long block sent even at this stage. Nothing against your new crew, but you know where the expertise resides. Anytime I hear “even worked on a few GTRs” I would recommend going somewhere else.

Since you missed the season, just load the whole car into a container

Really feel for you man. That sucks so bad. I hope you decide to bring the car alive again.
Best would be if you can reach some settlement with the assembler/mechanic where he takes the costs for repairs but let you pick shop.

Thank you gentlemen for warm words.

I love GT-R, I'll finish what I started. I felt what a great machine it is while I was doing engine break-in. I prefer the GT-R over 720S, which I currently drive.

In Polish, we have a saying: Who has a soft heart must have a hard ass. I wanted to help my old mechanic financially and that's why I gave the car to him. In fact, I should ask Cicio to send his mechanic to Poland. That was the biggest mistake. I am currently looking for air transport to send my engine back to Cicio. Unfortunately, several companies refused to transport the engine by plane.

For this exact reason I elected to have none of my engine parts (other than intake manifold) powder coated/sandblasted. It can easily be done properly but the risk of the slightest bit of media getting stuck in a groove or passageway was too risky. This does happen more often than we hear about on forums.
