Toyo R888R smell?
Posted 06 October 2018 - 06:28 PM
I notice each time I pull into garage a faint "burning rubber" smell. I remember earlier this year when I had them on I notoced it as well.
I've checked for rubbing and I don't see any issues other than my somewhat aggressive driving. Lol
Anyone else notice this?

Hopefully not. Logs show very small difference between front and rear with the 285/325 setup. Regardless it smells like rubber and definitely not a clutch smell. Turns out after a few drives on the tires the smell is pretty much gone. Must've been new tire smell?
Hopefully the smell is not coming from your fwd clutches.
I know you blew $10k in the wrong tire choice or whatever else may have caused that catastrophe. Lots of variables. I'll take the risk on the few hundred miles a year I put in the 285/325 Toyo R888R setup. Not getting into that argument again. Lol
