After getting used to my last setup of the Linney EFR6758R 800whp setup i decided to step things up a little in pursuit of the ultimate street car. In Sydney, 800whp just does not cut it any more especially with so many monster 1000+hp R32/R33/R34 GTRs and 800hp EVOs getting around the power/weight is in their advantage also.

I enlisted Precision Automotive Racing in Sydney to undertake the task to build my motor and put it the car all together. Precision Racing currently have the fastest R35 GTR in Australia and are probably the most knowledgeable and advanced in this platform due to having their own R35 GTR shop car to learn on. One thing i can not stand any longer is workshops learning on customer cars, especially here in Australia with the high cost of the R35 GTR to purchase. I have learnt my lesson! Also, i said that i want to run the TSM Elite Plus turbos after seeing so many good things about them i have to have them here on my car downunder.

So the build goes a little something like this:

Precision Racing PR12 Motor Package (Pistons / Rods / Headwork / Cams / Valvetrain / Main & Headstuds etc.. stock crank)
TSM Elite Plus Turbo Kit

Boostlogic Manifold + Extra Fuel Rail (ID1050 & ID1700)

Fore Innovations Triple Pump Setup

Shep 1K Transmission + Drag Pack

DSS Axels

Motec M1 ECU controlling everything

I kept my Amuse 90mm Exhaust as i love the sound so much, to get around the exhaust flow issue we welded 2 turbosmart wastegates off the AMS downpipes.

Car put down just under 1200whp on kill, and 940whp on wastegate 24psi

I got the car back late on friday night, and took it to the track on Saturday. We have a NANNY STATE problem here in Sydney, too many rules. Cars can not run faster than 9.99 / 140mph otherwise you need a rollcage and a parachute!

first time driving the car since getting it back, first time driving on bias ply drag slicks (17" rear/18"front) ..... first run i was going to launch it to check 60ftrs but it just felt so good, but i mis-shifted 3-4 too early forgetting i have a 8500rpm rev limit lol (shifted at 7000rpm) and then jumped on the brakes. i thought i slowed down enough but the car still went 9.4 @ 87mph haha

1.40 60ftr, 132mph in the half, my car is a full weight street car 1888kg, full tank of fuel with me in it (4162 pounds) just felt amazing. i have to wait a few weeks so they forget about me at the track and im going to go back to try and do another proper pass, problem is weather is getting very cold here now as its winter so not sure what track is going to be like in order to try hook up on the launch.

Thank you to all involved, i love this package. To be honest i wish i just built it like this from the start instead of going through "stages" like FBO, then 800HP, and now this. But you live and learn and i have had this car for over 4 years now and it keeps getting better and better and the thrills keep getting wilder as i go faster :)

Well done! You have an amazing build. The elites are incredible turbos. Insane on the street.

Good job molding the Varis fender extensions to the OEM bumper. Very clean GTR!

yes, yes it is lol

Your saying the Elite + make 45psi on kill? That sounds a bit optimistic. However, maybe all that excessive heat blowing is why you did'nt break the 1200whp, like most of the Elite+ builds? From what I have read, the Elite + are efficient up to 35#s. But I could be wrong. I have a set going on my car and being used at 5200'. Would love for them to make 33-35#s up here.

Looks like it peaks 46psi and drops to 38psi.  That's likely the flow limits of the turbo size being reached - similar to oem/smaller turbos that peak and fall off.  Many users set boost to 38psi to remain consistent throughout the full RPM range.  Others (boostin performance I believe) have posted similar dynos of a ~45psi spike dropping to upper 30's by redline

I'd be curious to see the IAT data and know what intercooler you're running

yes as a result of the boost etc. the IAT are stupid high after a pull on the dyno, like 90 degree Celsius. this is because of the inter-cooler though, i am running a Hypertune front mount short route (custom job) and the core is not that great. The workshop here had similar issues with their setup. they switched out their hypertune front mount to a ETS race and the IAT dropped dramatically. so its next on the list to upgrade.

I did not notice the boost reference on the dyno sheet, my bad. But wow, 40#s of boost at 4500rpm and then 46#s at 5000. Give's me hope that these Elite + can make 34-35#s at redline at my elevation.

Holy shit, almost 200*F. What temp did it hit at the track before you hit the brakes?

ill get the logs and find out and let you know. the on street performance of the cooling system works very well..... temps hardly rise at all in the car (coolant / engine / trans etc) so it would be interesting to see.

IAT after the run hit 84 degrees Celsius - def.need a better cooler! And maybe turn down the power just a smidgen as to not generate so much heat from these turbos.

+1 don’t turn it down - STM’s with the Garrett cores will keep you cool. I’ll post up the IAT’s gains as mine should hit the dyno next week.

UPDATE

so i ran the car again last night. Conditions are not ideal as we are in the middle of winter at the moment. 10 Degrees Celsius (50 deg Fahrenheit) was the air temp and i was the 8th person out on the track for the night.

My burnout was not ideal. Car tramped a touch on the launch but smoothed out fast so kept in it. Result? 8.455 @ 164.69mph - full weight car weighed 1878kg (4140 pounds) on the scales with 3/4 tank of fuel and me sitting in it (im 79kg / 174 pounds) 1.398 60ftr

Im over the moon with the performance of this car and these turbos. There is a 8.2 in the car as is with a better launch / 60ftr and a touch up of the tune. Planning on also getting a better intercooler so IATs come down we should see a little more power up top, and carbon ceramics + lighter seats should be good for a few more mph. Im banned from my local track for now so i will have to lay low until i can hit the track again.

Drive The Car To Work, Drive it to the Track, Run a 8, Drive it Home! #RH8 #STREETCAR
