i ran with KAPs controller doing burnouts,  then I went back to stock AWD controller and didnt do burnouts....   at 1300whp my times were very comparable.   I will say doing burnouts was pretty fun though LOL

I wanted to test a theory.    A theory around the wear and tear on your FWD clutch using a non factory FWD Controller vs. Stock.

Jury is still out.

A big burnout isn't necessary.  A little one is good though, if for nothing else to get rocks and such off the tires from the pits and staging lanes.

Depends on the power level. Not much difference sub 1400hp.

I started the video here to show that I drive from the staging lanes, around the water and stage. 1.270 60ft on M&H 28x10.5-17 rears, M&H 28x10.5-18 fronts. Kaps AWD controller with Visconti's base map, Jack's Transmissions spec ETS.

What map do you use at the track? I haven’t had much time to play with them but I was using MAP 4 the way it comes on the KAPS controller

I myself am still paying with these settings. I would think you would adjust based on target wheel slip ratio.

Does it have its advantages based on surface though? on non-prep /road surfaces wouldnt the 15s prove to be better?

I haven't found slicks to work well on the street, but on a less than ideal track, I suppose the 15's would give better results than the 17's.

Do you prefer radials for the street?

Motec + 18” 345 MT SS work great on street for my power level. I’m sure the 15” radials are great too
