I would always recommend going with whatever "tuning platform" (COBB, ECUTEK, MOTEC, HALTECH, etc.) your preferred tuner "recommends".  My tuner (Tim Bailey) is local to me, here in Portland and was instrumental in the development / advancement of the COBB AP for the GTR platform....  Basically I started with the COBB AP v2 in 2009 and stuck it out, 4 GTRs later.

I've seen a lot of owners recently with TSM Elite+'s on a built short block with OEM crank.  I take it that the TSM "Racing" short block comes with a Bryant Racing billet crank, yes?  Curious why you spent the extra money for that when the Elite+ works with the OEM crank?

Good question.  I feel like an all-in Elite + build is right at the brink of the comfort level for stock crank.  It's so easy when putting together a build to say, "why not do this for extra insurance?"  At some point you have to say no more, unless you've got an unlimited budget.  I think the billet crank is worth it at the Elite + level, but I don't know how the stock crank Elite + builds have been holding up.  I've seen a ton of the build threads.  Not much info regarding longevity/reliability.
