Hi Guys,

Car's arrived at the dealership. Getting full clear bra. I'll probably see the car after Christmas. Super excited, will share impressions, photos, and somehow try to record the sound.

Very nice. Just enjoyed reading the Top Gear latest issue where they had the GT3 in their Speed Week best car write-up.

The PDK is very, very good. It suits the nature of the car. An uninterrupted power delivery at 9,000RPM with 500HP is exhilarating.

I like my manual cars to hand an H badge on them, and with far less HP.

PDK car also gets fully variable electronically controlled LSD (manual has old school clutch diff with limited lock), and more aggressive/closer gear ratios. It’s how it was intended to be.

Simply building a relationship with a dealership. I feel like Porsche is going to make quite a few of these. They will be obtainable at sticker with some aggressive hunting.

I put a deposit down for the 991.2 at the store I work with over 2 years ago.

Porsche really takes care of their customers and sometimes sends you some cool stuff in the mail. Randomly received this yesterday.

I’ve heard of this gift box. Pretty damn cool. I’m out of the country, but hoping to have it on my desk when I’m back!

I believe it’s a pretty big hardware/software upgrade (including touch screen interface), with CarPlay standard. Display is slightly larger, and better quality.

Got to drive this from pch to the top of stunt rd. Very different experience than my '14.

The good:

- pdk. Much much more refined than the gr6. Impossible to confuse, totally seamless.
- visibility. Excellent. Super easy to put the car where you want to.
- responsiveness. Na, torquey and 5000rpm powerband is really amazing.
- sound. Beyond 50% (ish?) throttle flaps in the exhaust open and it sounds amazing. Super addictive.
- grip. OEM rubber is good. I think Joe said they were the Dunlop options, dunno what they are but they were excellent. My worn arse Dunlops were all over abs and vdc and howling following Joe on the way back down.
- brakes. My first time driving ceramics. They weren't as firm as I was expecting and took a bit of getting used to, but solid. Didn't really push much given I drove it uphill.

The questionable:

- engine refinement. Non existent. It still sounds like a vw beetle inside the cabin at idle.

Other impressions, it's instantly noticeable the difference in weight distribution from the GTR, but the car builds trust so quickly and never betrays you that you quickly start to lean on it more and more. Quick transitions under power at speed didn't upset it in the least.

Overall, fuck yeah I'd have one.

Thanks for letting me have a hoon in it Joe!
