A few of weeks ago we were commissioned by one of our current customers to upgrade their current 4.4 A16 build that they have been running for almost three years. The goal was to make 2000hp on a billet block and race the car at the Texas Invitational.
Usually to be honest I would have simply said “No that can not happen” but given the awesome relationship we have with these customers (its a couple and I’m sure you have heard about them) I decided to give it our best shot! We started immediately calling and gathering parts. We of course called our friends at ETS who started putting together one of their brand new ETS ProXXXX (that means we don’t know yet it isn’t a jab at AMS lol) kits for us!
We ordered a block form the guys up at LSM and then called CP-Carrillo and told them we needed some custom stuff made PRONTO! Everyone was on board and went right to work so it was ON!
So this afternoon I went over to our machine shop which is just up the road from us and we put the finishing touches on this bad boy!
Little Update: 9/26/2017
I just spoke with the client and due to a scheduling conflict he has decided it best to push the unveiling of this build back two weeks to the WannaGoFAST Ocala Half Mile. We are very sad that he and his wife won't be joining us for the Texas Invitational but we certainly understand I personally always figure there is a reason when a plan doesn't come together perfectly so rather than fight it I have learned to embrace it.
I'm also pretty sure that when I told my technician he immediately called his wife and told her she was actually going to see him this week LMAO!!
Progress will proceed as scheduled just at a normal work hour rate and I'll keep you guys updated through the next two weeks just like I was going to.
Ready…… Setttttt……. GO!!!!!!!!
