Tell us how this works out. 100 cell is the lowest count I have seen. Cobb has down pipes with 200 cells......... As we know, less cells..better flow.. If you have time , post a picture of the cell maze so we can see spacing.

I'll try to remember to take pic tomorrow when I fab.  However, below is what I ordered and it is indeed 100cell.

$89 from Summit Racing, but was $118.05 shipped because I spent less than $100.  I thought it was shipping from Australia, but it arrived in just a few days.

XForce CAT12-350(100)

BTW, it is a really nice piece and it even came polished.

New midpipe is done and running in the car.  The car idles quiet and also drives quiet so I am pleased that it doesn't sound like my dang EVO that has straight 3.5" turbo back.

Here is a pic of the 100 cell CAT.

I first had to remove the old turn down tube so I could get the rear portion of the exhaust onto my chop saw.  I also knew that a new turn down pipe would be required as the CAT is larger in diameter.  After cutting it off with a 4" angle grinder and finally the Sawz All I used a sanding pad on the angle grinder to flatten the surface and break all the welds.

I then had to cut out the rear portion of the midpipe to accommodate the CAT.  Next steps was to get jiggy wid it.

After a quick test fit into the car it was time to weld it all up.  I had forgotten that when I made the midpipe I ran out of 0.032" wire so I had to use some thick stuff I had, which sucks for trying to make pretty welds.

Thanks for the picture of the 100 cell cat.............. I was expecting more space for flow.......... 100 cell is the lowest cell count I have seen..........

Cobb makes 200 cell down pipes........ 200 cell in each pipe translates to 100 for total flow .......... I wonder what our stock down pipes have for cell count ??

I have seen 50cpi cats online.  I don't think the actual math supports 2x 200cpi cats equals flow of 1x 100cpi cat.  I suspect the difference would be 10-20% reduction in cross sectional area, but just too early in the morning to try and bust out some math.  Essentially, I suspect 2x 200cpi cats to flow better than 1x 100cpi cat all things being equal.  I do like the sound of the car with the cat added.  I have my old hacked up Cobb midpipe so I might add two resonators and two 100cell cats to see how it performs just for kicks.  I am sure I can sell and recoup the cash if necessary.
