the in-car video is pretty amazing. i am used to the GT-R being the "easy" car to drive with less work on the driver. looks like audi has been able to do that on the new r8. very impressed.

Ran it at the track bone stock...

 

No tire pressure adjustments on factory Pirelli P Zero rubber.  Car launches really hard for an all motor vehicle and the 60' shows it.   Beat a friend's supercharged Mustang 5.0 and a Camaro that I think was a ZL1.  Lost to a Hellcat on the last run he ran a 10.22 @ 133 and had a drag radial with some work done to it.  Overall it was a good night of fun.  

 

Seat of the pants feel I think the car will give an FBO car a good run for it's money on a 93 octane setup and the numbers for the most part prove that.  FBO E85 it's no contest with the MPH difference.

 

60' 1.68

1/8th: 7.02 @ 101.4 MPH

1/4mi: 10.82 @ 127.5 MPH

That Audi is a beautiful car, and having all the modern upgrades is cool as well.  That looks like a blast to drive.  Congrats.

Upgraded exhaust...OMG should have done this when I first got the car.  Holy crap!!

 

Put an exhaust on the R8 V10 Plus. Got a great deal so figured it was worthy of an upgrade.

Completely transforms the car. It now has a very aggressive soundtrack. its valved so I don't have to wake the dead. It also drops almost 50 pounds off the car as the factory exhaust is rather heavy. Also can easily disable the "over run" which are the backfires should I not want it doing such. The backfires sound like cannon fire versus little pops when on the factory system. Enjoy the videos. It's a blast. Figured I'd share...

One of the best mods to lose the stock car appearance / sound.

Good stuff.

Bought it used a Larini Club Sport.  The previous owner wanted even louder (a.k.a. Quicksilver).  For daily usage this is the perfect level of loud.  Plus I can flip the valves shut and honestly it's dead quiet in cabin...like hybrid quiet.  Impressive noise suppression if needed.  

 

If you want a laugh look on YouTube Archie Hamilton and Quicksilver R8.  That's the loudest on the market and the guy who sold me this told me it's a whole different level of loud compared to what I have.  I could not fathom that for daily usage lol.

I mostly lurk here as I'm not one of the "big build" GT-R people but I'll keep this thread going as I update the other ride...I took the R8 to Sebring this weekend.  

 

That V10 is thirsty I drained an entire 20 gallon fuel tank in 2 sessions I started to run out of gas into session 3. 
 
The limits on this car is stupid. Rarely got sideways but did on Turn 5 on lap 1 of this video (0:40 mark). I'm chasing an RS5 that's got a VERY experienced driver versus my noobie status. Rookie class I was lapping people left and right. Got bumped into intermediate it's 50/50. I'm passing half and I'm getting passed by half. Very humbling given my car should smoke some of these others based on bench numbers.

It's probably the factory rubber.  I'm still on street tires (Pilot 4S) so no fancy Cup 2 or other R compound.  The P-Zero stock are not good in corners.  She definitely will rotate (you can see in Turn 5 I had a tad over-steer).  It's basically a Huracan at the end of the day.  

 

I had car in ESC Sport and Performance mode (which if you saw the MT review of the car by Johnny back in the day he called that the Huracan mode lol).  

 

There was one wild GT-R there...fully gutted interior with roll cage.
