Just picked this up and drove it back from Miami.  Sold our Corvette to pick this up.  Drove it back up to Tampa.  Fully optioned out minus dynamic steering (didn't want that option to begin with).  Friend took these photos for me the day we picked it up.

It's one incredible car.  We cross shopped it with the McLaren 570S, McLaren 650S, and Lamborghini Huracan.  This was our choice at the end of the day.  Great daily driver.  Transmission is ridiculously quick.  The engine note is great.

Love this car. Any more interior shots?

What made you lean towards this over the McLarens?

Gorgeous.  Care to explain why you chose this over a McLaren?

Love this car. Any more interior shots?

Remind me in a few days I'll throw some interior photos up.  See below in regards to why I chose this car.

Gorgeous.  Care to explain why you chose this over a McLaren?

It was between this, Lamborghini Huracan, and a McLaren 650S (we did not like the 570S driving dynamics) .

McLaren - cool fun car BUT heavy potential losses when it comes to resale in addition to QUESTIONABLE reliability from what I've read.  In addition we would have bought a 2015 so the car would be on the tail end of the warranty.  It's $4,000/yr to extend it per year.  Oh also, polarized glasses good luck with the screens on the McLaren.

Huracan - It's the R8 without a lot of the R8's features.  They are either options or completely unavailable.  This includes: cruise control, garage homelink, navigation, uncomfortable seats, no cup holders, etc.  It's not a practical daily.  Also would be looking at a 2015.  Once again, out of  warranty.  Stupid expensive to extend.

Audi R8 - Cheapest of the three and newest of the three.  Has the most options.  I have full warranty until 2020.  The car is 90% a Huracan.  The engine note on the V10 is so much more awesome than the TT V8 in the McLaren.  It has the newest tech with the most options.  Largest dealer network and the cheapest to service at the yearly intervals.  Lastly, considering the area we live in it has the least "I'm a dick" look versus a Lambo badge or the McLaren doors.

While I don't care what others think I don't need to be a rolling target.  That's how I look at it.  It's a joy it's the world we live in.

As I said above!

Anyways got a chance to take a photo of them side-by-side.  We just got our garage floors re-done.

Haha going to try and keep it that way.

Garage is completely empty because we literally just re-did the floor.  Slowly going to add stuff back into it.

Very nice choice. The R8 is another car that like the GTR is under appreciated. I believe it to be a far better buy than a Huracan.

The Mclarens are also pretty impractical. I found it very hard to get in and out of.

Agreed.  I did some video runs of it yesterday.  The Huracan interior is a bit too plastic for over 200k.  I'm not a tall guy (just a tall torso) and my head always hit the roof trying to get in one.

It's a daily driver.  If I want to track something I'll track the GT-R or something less expensive.  While we can afford an exotic we cannot afford to crash a car of this price.  Plus if you read most reviews it says it's a kickass road car but on a track it tends to understeer.  Most reviewers prefer the Huracan's calibration for track duty.
