Any way to suction coolant out from top or do I need to drop bumper and drain from bottom?

Can I get some clarity on which Nismo/Spec V radiator cap?

Part # 2143089S0A for $17.70 on Boulder Nissan

https://www.shiftnis...2&catalogID=0##

or

Nismo Cap from Speed for Sale for $75 (no part #)

http://www.speedfors...012-p-4051.html

or

Part # 21430-JF10B for $41.95 on Nengun

https://www.nengun.c...m-parts-r35-gtr

I am assuming its the last one???

Thanks!

Yes, the JF10B 180kPa. I'm not sure, but I think only the Spec V had the 180. The Nismo has an 137 iirc.

What do you guys think of following two products?

This uses a billet aluminum cap and it doesn't say what kind of pressure it is. So I am not sure if it is any good for road racing:

And then this:

Not sure if I know anyone who has tried those. The first one looks interesting. I had a nice metal tank but went to the spec V one because of a heat issue on track.

What's your set up Tay? How bad are you temps? Are you in the south??

I thought the first one looks interesting as well. I do already have the Buscher catch can though.

Are you saying the metal tank was causing heat issues? So you would recommend the plastic spec V tank?

I am in Southern California. I don't remember exactly what my temps have been on the track, but I always like to take preventive measures

No.  But I had I think the fancy carbide? tank that looked great.  This was the time when I had the HKS1000 build.  Then on a track session hit oil temps and even though never coolant temp I had it over flow onto the under tray.

Almost at that same time there was a thread about the Spec V tank and how it was baffled vs the majority of the all metal tanks.  That plus the extra capacity and the cap I decided to switch.

the other thought was that with the high oil temp was causing a higher coolant temp to cool the engine and increase load.

Interesting. I am going to snoop around and see if I can find a baffled aftermarket metal one.

Thanks for the info 7racer!
