Broken Heart - Leaving my car in the staging lanes and running to go catch my flight out because of so many delays on sunday.   That was a lesson learned, schedule a flight for Monday morning next year and not at 6:30 on Sunday.    I was a 6 or 7 seed (never saw the bracket) and had to give a Bye to a competitor to get to my flight on time.

I think Boostin broke an axle. Honestly where these cars were a year or two ago compared to now is amazing from a reliability perspective. Especially considering they are faster than ever!

Was the most trouble-free full on race week I've had in a long time. Hell I even drove it to the track from the Mariot each day :punk:

I didn't want to hit the "like" button on that one lol.   Pretty impressive to not swap complete motors as a unit but to change out all the bearings at the track.  You guys are getting your top fuel game on over there ;)

I broke nothing, which I am extactic about, two events so far and no issues other than a broken CV at GTRWC.  My 12/12 clutch is however a bit marginal and may be getting swapped soon.  That being said, I believe I am living on borrowed time at my power level.  At this point every trouble free 7 second pass is a gift from God.  AMS has learned a lot about making high horsepower engine/trans combos work on Gideons car lately, and I feel that I have benefitted from it.  Making cars live at this power level is not easy.

Eventually Jason miller got the track prep figured out for GTRs very well.  He was purposely going a bit light on prepping the 1st 60-100' to allow a bit of wheel spin and avoid bog/breakage.  After that he had all the glue down.  It make a lot of sense if you think about how a GTR leaves compared to your typical nitrous muscle car.  In a GTR the last thing you want is a dead hook off the tree.

Just curious what you think your weakest link is outside of the 12/12 clutch?

Also, if you turn the power down a bit (a lot) for the street, is it still pretty drivable in terms of lag?

I would say Axle, as I broke an inner Cv cage. Then again it happened on burnout... and they have been in the car like 3 years...

Plenty streetable. These X turbos spool about like an A12. Just turn them WAYYYY down.

I had a turbo finally break, 2+ years on it and lots of time at max RPM and in surge.  No complaints from me, they had a good run.   We learned a bit from it, and i'm taking the opportunity to rebuild the entire turbo kit taking points we learned from this one and Viren's red one we built.  Onward and upward!

6870s spool very well. I know the ones on my car spool faster then a very similarly setup A16. Spooling as fast as an A12 i suppose could be possible specially in those small t3 housings they got em in. Also if they are on methanol now that is a huge help to spool.

Not running methanol. Just great aero and a comparatively small housing. Really an amazing kit!

Think he meant VP M1 (methanol) fuel.
