Brakes packed in a waterproof Pelican case getting ready to ship to Liverpool.  Weight is 88 lbs.  Would have been 48 lbs if Surface Transforms had let me remove the hats.

I see your vent holes filled up.  Once that happens, sure death.  The newer designed rotors that I have, use a better method for venting by creating much larger fluves that pull air out of via Venturi effect.  But bigger fluves mean less mass, so it might just be a wash.

While we are waiting for the rotors to be refurbished, the ETS 4" exhaust, and the Racing Brake calipers and some other stuff, Danny took the car to the dyno today to get some "Before" numbers with the 3" exhaust.  This was done on a 4-wheel dyno.  The "DynoJet" comparison in the second photo is just a computation.  The dyno outputs "STPPwr" which is a function of all 4 wheels.  Edit: Sorry -- the red (GTR11) is on Street Kill Mode and green (GTR9) is Road Course Mode, which is what I ran at Daytona and still melted the ass end of the car.  I've not tried Map 2 Street Kill Mode yet.

Sorry for the incessant posting, but needed to add that those dyno numbers are on 93 octane pump gas bought at the 7-11 down the street from Daytona International.  No Boostane or similar additives.  This is what Bill @ SiR originally predicted the car would do.

Yeah, finally!  The three things that got things going were 1) a new fuel pump/filter/basket, 2) finding/fixing the boost leak, 3) intercooler piping. Now it's exhaust-limited.  There's another 30-40 HP especially a the top end when that ETS exhaust gets installed.  I'm sending it to Swain Tech for White Lightening ceramic coating before it's installed.

Some initial damage assessment. One rotor may be unsalvageable. The other 3 are mad oxidized. I'm sending a bunch of photos to Surface Transforms to see whether they'll be able to turn them.

They're baaaaack! Mmmwahhh! I felt naked, driving around on irons. Handle With Care and don't fuck with cars that have these on. Cannot wait to drive with these plus the new Racing Brake calipers. Should be an awesome upgrade.

ST did tell me that they normally don't support hats not manufactured by them. So they did me a real solid. Great work, great company to deal with.

Got the new ETS exhaust back from Swain Tech yesterday.  It's got .15mm White Lightening ceramic coating.  The surface is like millions of little glass beads.  It won't stay this pretty for long.
