The 1.21 Gigawatts Sale!
So... 1 horsepower = 745 watts. That means that a GT-R is rated from the factory at about 406,025watts, or 406 kilowatts, at peak output. If the average quarter mile run in a GT-R takes 10 seconds... that means the GT-R produces approximately 4060kw during the run, or 4megawatts of power! You could also express that as .004 gigawatts! So... To produce 1.21 gigawatts of electricity in your GT-R, you'd need to make 303 drag passes during the life of your car. That's a lot!
The good news is... at Weapons Grade, we can more than double the horsepower generated by your GT-R to over 1000WHP! (~1200 crank horsepower!) At 1200 crank horsepower, your GT-R will produce 894,000 watts of electricity, and your drag times can drop into the 8s! Using 8.99 as the magic number, You'll make over 8 megawatts of power during your pass! This is .008 gigawatts, meaning you'll only have to make 150 drag passes during the life if your car! Some people actually do this! The good news is that if you decided to run in half mile events instead... which take closer to 20 seconds to run, you'd generate even more power at almost 18 megawatts per pass! We're down to only 67 passes during your cars life to produce 1.21 Gigawatts!
Still seems like a lot... however... if you're going to run a 60-130mph pull in your 1000whp GT-R, that will probably take about 4 seconds... so during the pull you'll produce 3.5 megawatts of power, which means you'll only have to do this 345 times to make 1.21 gigawatts... I don't know about you guys, but I do this EVERY SINGLE TIME I GET ON AN ONRAMP! So in a year's time (which coincidentally is the warranty period for our full builds), you'll make 1.21 GIGAWATTS!!!
To make a long story short... all 1000whp + builds booked at our shop this month for engines, transmissions, turbo kits, fuel systems, and other supporting mods will pay only $1.21 / hour in LABOR charges and we'll build you a car that makes 1.21 GIGAWATTS of power!!!
