Track was closed for rain this week.  Hoping to get back this Wednesday or Friday. 

 

Can't wait for the cooler weather, but will probably get booted from my track. 

 

I was able to get through the Vbox data for the shakedown runs and R888's.

 

0-60 2.53

0-100 4.91

0-150 9.79

60-130 4.96

100-150 4.94

¼ mile 9.76 @ 149.76

Update : 9.673 @ 146.41 (Vbox 149.7)

Hate it when you get back from the track (after getting asked to stop running until I have a roll bar, for real this time) and realize I didn't hit record on the GoPro. Arghhhh. This would have been even funnier than the last one. He said I could keep running 1/8's though.

After the first run, I put the GoPro on the roof of my X5M that my buddy drove down for me. He ran a 12.4 @ 111. Not the best idea to move the GoPro.

I wish I had the video of the runs, because it was spinning hard in first, jumped out of the groove spun in second and then grabbed third and was smooth sailing. First time on drag radials at 150 with 15psi. Fun.

I changed the LC to 4100 and BOTL to 2.5 psi. I would have liked to adjust, but wasn't able to with the "roll bar request". I will run some 1/8's in the next couple of weeks and get the launch down. I still think there is a 9.20 in this car all day. Full weight, full tank of gas, etc.

I blew the tires off pretty good on the warm up run, so I tried timing the LC to launch around 3500. The short pretty much shows it didn't work. Rears are Te37SL's with 315 M&H's, front the 20" Advan GT with R888s.

 

Edit added a few runs from the other day as well.

 

60’ : 1.64
0 – 60 : 2.37
0 – 100 : 4.77
0 -150 : 9.74
60 -130 : 4.97
30-100 : 3.66
¼ mile : 9.67 @146.4 (Vbox 149.8)

That is about right.

 

Get that 60ft time to 1.50 or better and you may have a few MPH in it. 

 

I have had 3 locally tuned Alpha 9 cars go 9.400 or better.  The fastest one went 9.12 at 152

 

The V-Box always reads a few mph higher, because at track they are averaging the last 66ft to measure your trap speed, the V-Box shows your speed at the end. 

 

Looks like you have a lot of data, that definitely helps!

Had the latest updates from Cobb installed and figured I would get the tune tweaked.

 

This was only run to 6800 rpm.

930/815 + dynojet



Previous 801/675 was 783/675 as baseline that day. Nice pickup in TQ and flatter curve.

Looking to get out to the track in the next couple of weeks as well as some 60-130.

Car is a blast to drive and super responsive. Now the bikes are out its hurting some feelings.

Managed to get the car out for some 60-130 runs today in 2100+ DA. Definitely inline with the dyno results. I'll try to get the car back on the dyno and get a pull to redline. 

 

60-130 - 4.59

Full weight, A/C on, full tank of E85 and I had 3 cups of coffee most likely putting me at 245lbs.

I never really updated since the car developed bearing noise.

As an A9 car performed flawlessly with too many 4.3x 60-130 to count and 1/4 traps in the low 150’s once the One K went in.

AMS built a 4.1 stroker with billet crank and all the goodies.

STM fabricated a GTX3582R GEN II setup and here they are in their new home.

Motor is back in and will get some break in miles next week and probably the last state inspection I will see for awhile.

Awesome build! Is that the XR-1 muffler from Borla? How does it sound? I loved how well they quieted down rotaries without hurting Power!

Hey 7racer! I used to be on Rx7club back in the days...I had an RE equipped FC3s...too poor to get an FD! Still love Rotaries though!
