I need to come say hi to you guys.

That blue car looked amazing (along with all the other ones).  But you are right the paint job on that blue car is beautiful in person.

BTW can I ask, does that blue car have like a Powerglide in it?  It definitely didn't sound like a GR6.

- 4.4 liter Alpha 12 built by TSM (R.I.P)
- 4.1 liter ER/ETS 6466 built myself with the help of everyone.

- 4.2 liter billet block <? big boy kit> coming.

I heard a few weeks ago it was a power glide.  While that is cool .. i would not consider that a true street GTR.

There has to be some major cutting under neath to get it to fit...

I don't think we have a plate for it handy but it is definitely very streetable. Nothing was cut out to get it to fit, just some quality engineering by Tym and the crew at SPI. It's a proof-of concept build meant to help us push out engine program further than what the GR6's limitations has let us do. We have other builds that push the GR6 to capacity and will continue to push the envelope in that arena, this was just another way to get the job done and to give the owner maximal seat time without fear of blowing the diff out on the ground, burning up $10K clutches, or breaking gears left and right.

Thanks Neil.power glides are relatively cheap to fix and they will take about anything you can throw at it.

Glad to see this actually.  Of course it's not going to appeal to the "average" GT-R owner, but as you said, there will definitely be R&D gained from being able to push the engine program to the next level.  As well, if we see a VR38-powered, stock body R35 pop off a 6.99, it's going to be cool as hell I don't care what trans is in it.

So how many gears does this tranny have? How much power does this GT-R make? 2000 engine HP maybe?

Sky it's a 2 speed. There used in lots of pig power drag cars.
They make a decent street trans if you use. Gear Vendors,over/under drive.
If your curious, just google Rossler or coan trans

Question for Neil .how big of a converter did you go with? Also any giggle juice gonna be added for spool.just wondering if we're gonna see a 1.1-1.2
60 ft.

it has n20 for sure. I think it has a 300shot on it.

2000whp +300shot =2300+

Like i said , If someone  wanted a GTR with a proven drag tranny this would be one way. It should easily go high 6's @ 200-210mph.

it's a drag legend that began in old time usdm cars, and it'll handle however many thousands of hp that you want to throw at it.

Made over 1750whp last year so its definitely north of 2000hp. She's got a small shot to get it up on the converter to keep staging time normal and since the turbos are large enough we won't need to run it on top of boost. This is merely a weekend of testing for us in better weather.

There's no guarantees it will hook or that it will stay together but whatever the results is we hope to put on a good show for everyone and have fun doing it.

So, it's pretty much a gearbox for top fuel dragsters if it can handle 5000 horsepower or so... How much does it cost to build and repair?
